About Wheddon Cross and Cutcombe
Wheddon Cross and Cutcombe are, strictly speaking, two separate Somerset villages but in effect form one larger village in the centre of the Exmoor National Park. Together with the hamlet of Luckwell Bridge, about half a mile to the west, they make up the parish of Cutcombe. View of Wheddon Cross from Dunkery Beacon Wheddon Cross/Cutcombe is the highest village on Exmoor, and is situated on the crossroads of the main routes that run between Minehead and Dulverton (from north to south) and from Taunton through to North Devon (from east to west).
