FASH

The Folk Association of South Hants

The Association:
• Runs a series of workshops and dances throughout the year
• Runs or directly funds several children's events during the year
• Makes grants to various local folk organisations and groups for the furtherance of their activities
• Publishes this monthly newsletter 'Solent Waves'

CONTACTABAND the Folk Band Agency is also managed by FASH. The agency provides a booking service to the general public for Folk Bands, Callers, Artistes and Display Teams enabling them to organise Barn Dances, Ceilidhs, Concerts and other folk music and dance related events, Tel 023 9245 2770.

FASH is affiiliated to the English Folk Dance and Song Society, EFDSS.

FASH Objectives:

• To initiate and/or support and encourage the initiation and/or support by others of all folk activity in South Hampshire
• To be a liaison point for folk activity in South Hampshire
• To support, and encourage the support by others of, the English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS.) in spirit and financially
• To do all or any lawful things as may be conducive or incidental to the attainments of these objects and the objectives of the EFDSS generally.
FASH was set up on the dissolution of the South Hants District of the English Folk Dance and Song Society in 1994
